After spearheading the remarkable project that led to the discovery of the remains of King Richard III, historian Philippa Langley turned her attention to one of Britain’s most enduring historical mysteries: the disappearance of the sons of King Edward IV of England, more commonly referred to as the ‘Princes in the Tower’.
Heading up an international team,The Missing Princes Project, explores new archival evidence, re-examining existing sources and introducing modern police ‘cold-case’ methodology, in a quest to finally reveal the fate of the two boys, grandsons of ‘Rose of Raby’, Cecily Neville. Join Philippa at Raby Castle; childhood home of Cecily Neville and the place where she first met her husband Richard Duke of York.
This very special event is a unique chance to hear firsthand from Philippa about her research into the couple’s children and grandsons and why evidence is only now coming to light over 500 years after the events took place.
A number of the project's remarkable discoveries were recently premiered on Channel 4's TV documentary special: The Princes in the Tower: The New Evidence with Rob Rinder, but are now revealed in full in Philippa's acclaimed new book: The Princes in the Tower: Solving History's Greatest Cold Case.
