Father Christmas at Raby Castle
Experience the Magic of Christmas with Father Christmas in Raby Castle’s Barons’ Hall
Children of Raby, we need your help! Father Christmas has been caught in a gust of wind, turned upside down, left, right, and he’s come tumbling down the wrong chimney at Raby Castle and into the Baron's Hall and now he is all in a muddle about Christmas!
There are whispers in the corridor that he thinks that the sun always shines at Christmas, that Christmas puddings are made from baked beans, that his sleigh is pulled by sausage dogs, and that he must put everyone’s presents in a teapot!
Something must be done, or this Christmas might stay topsy turvy! Can you help?! Climb the grand staircase into the magnificent Baron's Hall glowing with festive magic and join Father Christmas’ helpers as we set him right and bring his Christmas sparkle back. Can you help him remember what Christmas is all about, with a magical celebration!?
This popular event will be in a new location and the grandest room of them all in the Castle, the Barons' Hall. Please note this is a first-floor room and there is a large flight of stairs to reach this location. Pushchairs will need to be left downstairs. For anyone unable to access this location, a small number of accessible sessions will be available on the ground floor of the castle, please contact admin@raby.co.uk as early as possible as numbers are limited.
