The Secret Buildings of Raby : Gas House
Led by Raby Castle’s General Manager, enjoy a leisurely walk to the historic Gas House., historically one of the buildings on the Estate used to service the Castle.
A gas works was established at Raby Castle in 1850 by Henry Vane, the 2nd Duke of Cleveland. This provided gas lighting to the Castle through an underground pipe.
This is a great opportunity to see the Gas House, which is not usually accessible to the general public.
This guided walk is complimentary with a Park & Gardens ticket or Raby Membership.
